As of my last update in mid 2023, WhatsApp does not have a feature to hide the last seen status on Android devices. The last seen status is a feature that shows when a user was last active on the app, and it is visible to all contacts by default. However, users can choose to hide their last seen status by following these steps:

1. Open WhatsApp on your Android device.
2. Tap on the three dots in the top right corner to open the menu.
3. Select "Settings" from the menu.
4. Tap on "Account" and then select "Privacy".
5. Under "Last Seen", you can choose who can see your last seen status. You can select "Everyone", "My Contacts", or "Nobody". If you select "Nobody", your last seen status will be hidden from all contacts, and you will also not be able to see other people's last seen statuses.

Please note that even if you hide your last seen status, your contacts can still see when you are typing or when you have read their messages. Additionally, if you have a WhatsApp business account, your last seen status may be visible to your customers, depending on your privacy settings.
